M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner Review

M-Pro 7 gun cleaner is a safe biodegradable product and has been around for a long time. It is an effective agent that loosens carbon and copper fouling and penetrates the micro pores of the barrel. It is almost odorless and is a clear liquid that can be sprayed on or poured on patches or cloths.

M-Pro 7 gun cleaner is relatively safe but may cause minor skin irritations and/or eye irritation. Use eye protection when using any cleaning product as a safety precaution. I have had no issues using it at all. It does dry out your skin though.

So how well does M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner work? Watch and see.

I burned 2 charges of smokeless powder on a steel bar and then applied some M-Pro 7 gun cleaner. I let the gun cleaner soak for 10 minutes (you will see a pause in the video). Then I use several cleaning patches to wipe the area clean or attempt to. M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner is one of the best gun cleaners available. The key though is to let it SOAK FOR 10 MINUTES. Then wipe with good cleaning patches like Southern Bloomers.

I have used and tested many gun cleaners and none are better than M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner. Some work as well but NONE are more effective.

As you clean your guns with M-Pro 7 cleaner, it will “season” the metal surface so fouling will not adhere as much. Subsequent cleanings will become easier and faster.

I have used M-Pro 7 for almost 10 years. I first bought it because it didn’t have nasty or toxic chemicals in it like other solvents. I no longer want to use flammable and harmful chemicals in my house. M-Pro 7 cleans very well and is safe to use indoors. It’s also combat proven in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many LEO agencies use it too. Reviews are great too. It got 5 stars from over 70 customers.

Use M-Pro 7 as you would any other solvent. Soak the area to be cleaned for 10 or 15 minutes then wet patch or wipe with a clean cloth. I prefer to coat the barrel using wet patches and then brush it wet and then let it soak for 15 minutes. Then I wet patch again. It really shortens cleaning times. I use it on my Glocks and H&R Slug gun.

After cleaning your firearm thoroughly, use M-Pro 7 LPX to lubricate and protect it from the elements. LPX is very slippery and did very well in my gun oil wear test.
